50 Cent Drops Teaser and Release Date for Bombshell Diddy Netflix Doc

50 Cent‘s bombshell docuseries on his longtime nemesis Sean “Diddy” Combs is coming soon.

Netflix announced on Tuesday, November 25, that all four hourlong episodes of Sean Combs: The Reckoning will begin streaming next Tuesday, December 2.

“I’ve been committed to real storytelling for years through G-Unit Film and Television,” 50 Cent, who executive produced the series, said in a statement. “I’m grateful to everyone who came forward and trusted us with their stories and proud to have Alexandria Stapleton as the director on the project to bring this important story to the screen.”

In a statement of her own, Stapleton shared that she was inspired to helm the doc as “a woman in the industry” on the heels of the #MeToo movement.

“When Cassie dropped her lawsuit, I just thought this could go a million different directions,” she said. “I wondered how she had the confidence to go out there against a mogul like Sean Combs. As a filmmaker, I instantly knew it was a stress test of whether we’ve changed as a culture, as far as being able to process allegations like this in a fair way.”

Stapleton continued, “This isn’t just about the story of Sean Combs or the story of Cassie, or the story of any of the victims, or the allegations against him, or the trial. Ultimately, this story is a mirror [reflecting us] as the public, and what we are saying when we put our celebrities on such a high pedestal. I hope [this documentary] is a wake-up call for how we idolize people and to understand that everybody is a human being.”

Netflix teased that the docuseries will include never-before-seen footage, including interviews with people who were once in Diddy’s circle.

However, fans will have to tune in to find out what is in the project, as the 18-second teaser trailer released on Tuesday only features a voice-over of former Bad Boy artist Mark Curry saying, “You can’t continue to keep hurting people and nothing ever happens. It’s just a matter of time.”

50 Cent, 50, and Diddy, 56, have had beef for more than two decades, but the “Candy Shop” rapper started regularly trolling the Bad Boy Records founder on social media in November 2023 after Cassie, 39, sued her ex-boyfriend for rape, sex trafficking and physical abuse.

Diddy and Cassie settled just one day later, but her suit opened the floodgates for dozens of other accusers to come forward against the now-disgraced hip-hop mogul.

Diddy was ultimately arrested in September 2024 and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution, to which he pleaded not guilty. He was convicted of the prostitution charges in July and sentenced to more than four years in federal prison in October.

Diddy is serving his sentence at the minimum-security Fort Dix facility in New Jersey. He is currently scheduled to be released on June 4, 2028.

Sean Combs: The Reckoning debuts Tuesday, December 2, on Netflix.
