Antonio Brown cooks Shilo Sanders in workout footage just days after brutal cut

Shilo Sanders’ NFL career may be over before he’s even taken a regular season snap.
The undrafted rookie was cut by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just 24 hours after their preseason finale.
The 25-year-old had featured in all three of the Bucs’ outings and impressed early on, even gifting his mom his game-worn jersey after his debut.
But, he was ejected for throwing a punch on Buffalo Bills tight end Zach Davidson in his final game before the roster was cut to 53 players.
Ultimately, that moment of madness may have cost him the chance of realizing his dream to step onto the biggest stage in football, and follow in the footsteps of his Hall of Fame legend father, Deion.
Sanders left embarassed by Antonio Brown
Since being cut, five-time All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown released new clips from a workout against Shilo.
Unfortunately for Sanders, it appears that the 37-year-old has his number, with the 12-year NFL veteran leaving the rookie for dust and cooking him.
As expected, football fans flooded to the comments, with one fan writing: “AB at his age is still better than half the receivers in the NFL right now.”
“Cornerback might be one of the most difficult positions to play in all of sports,” another wrote.
“Looks bad for Sanders….. but Antonio brown is a full blown pro hall of fame player,” a third said. “So with development and more strength training it would be about a year and a half or 2 years that sanders could cover a WR1.
“He wasn’t about to be expected to lock anyone down immediately. He was expected to contain himself and not get beat big. That’s all.”
However, another clip posted by @YesirrrrNetwork on X (formerly Twitter) appears to show the contest between the two being much closer, with the rookie safety appearing to lock down his man much more.
Sanders had initially set himself some ambitious goals for the 2025 season, clearly set with the expectation that he would make the Bucs’ roster and target All-Pro honors on special teams.
Now, he has hinted that his NFL career may be over.
“I’ve always done that my whole life, playing football, music, acting, modeling. I’m well versed, and my parents made sure of that,” he explained.
But football may not be entirely out of the picture for Sanders amid reports that the Canadian Football League (CFL) team Toronto Argonauts have added him to their negotiation list.
The Argonauts also acquired exclusive negotiating rights to his brother, and Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback, Shedeur, though he has since made the Browns’ roster – albeit as the third-string quarterback.
The door hasn’t fully closed on Shilo finding a new team in the league with any move likely to see him be placed on a practice squad.
Practice squad rookies can still earn around $13,000 a week, which may only put a dent into helping Sanders with his looming $12 million bankruptcy case.
Nonetheless, with Sanders as his last name, the sky is the limit for Shilo; it is just unclear whether it will be in football, or not.
