‘Bad behaviour’ – Luke Littler furious after being grabbed from behind by fan outside hotel

Luke Littler hit out at a fan in a furious social media rant, who he claimed grabbed him from behind at a hotel.
The teenage sensation is currently in Prague as he targets a £30,000 prize at this weekend’s Czech Darts Open.
Littler gets his campaign underway against Cameron Menzies on Saturday night, having arrived in the Czech capital 24 hours earlier.
But it was far from a peaceful arrival for the ‘Nuke’, who was swarmed by fans after checking into his hotel on Friday night.
With many of them keen for a photo with the 18-year-old, he has declared that some of their behaviour was over the top.
Taking to Instagram, Littler said he and his dad were verbally abused by one fan, while he was allegedly ‘grabbed’ by another.
He wrote on his story: “Just came to the hotel in Prague got a few pictures baring [sic] in mind it’s 20 past 11 here, it’s busy, so got a few pictures with a few people.
“And as I’ve gone to walk off someone has grabbed me and wanted a picture, you don’t grab someone just ask nice how hard is it.”
The world champion continued: “And for the fella who came up to me and my dad, shouting: ‘Oi’ and then saying my behaviour is bad, and I’m not bigger and better than anyone DO NOT GRAB ME FROM BEHIND, because that’s bad behaviour, not me, because as soon as he’s grabbed, I said: ‘Do not grab me’, and walked away.”
Littler hasn’t always had the best of times on the continent, receiving hostile receptions from crowds at several European events, especially in Germany.
He even threatened to boycott the country, before returning there to play in the World Cup of Darts in June.
Otherwise, Littler has tended to avoid European competitions, only making his return to European Tour action at last week’s Flanders Darts Trophy.
It proved to be a successful comeback for the English star, as he beat Josh Rock to clinch the £30,000 winner’s prize.
Littler will be hoping to continue his fine form in the Czech Republic this weekend, having also enjoyed back-to-back victories at the World Matchplay, Australian Darts Masters and New Zealand Darts Masters this summer.
He faces stiff competition in Prague though, with defending champion Luke Humphries also in action..
Last year, the world no.1 beat Littler 7-4 in the semi-finals, before thrashing Kim Huybrechts 8-1 in the final.
Humphries will begin his title defence against the Netherlands’ Dirk van Duijvenbode.
Also competing in Prague is PDC stars Nathan Aspinall, as well as former world champions Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price.
