Dana White UFC White House card set for major change as new details emerge for historic event

The UFC White House card will now take place in June 2026 with a full plan now in place.

US president Donald Trump announced his intentions to stage a historic first ever UFC bill in the gardens of the White House on July 4, 2026.

It was brought about to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States, and UFC kingpin Dana White was fully on board.

The pair held meetings over the astonishing bill, with several obstacles needing to be overcome including the weight of the UFC octagon.

Logistics were already beginning to take place, with the bill set to be held on the property’s south lawn in Washington D.C.

But now according to new details uncovered by the Wall Street Journal, alterations have been made with the bill set to take place one month earlier.

The June card will likely feature some of the MMA promotion’s best fighters, who could warm up in dressing rooms located inside the White House.

It is understood that plans are being put in place for giant screens to be placed on the lawn.

While the event will likely feature huge light and firework shows, which will likely compliment the explosive action inside the cage.

Reports indicate that fans will be able to catch the weigh-ins and the Lincoln Memorial the night before, providing logistical issues remain at bay.

It will simply help grow the event into record-breaking new heights, with the innovations never seen before in combat sports history.

White has promised it will be the biggest event in the promotion’s time in the spotlight.

Who will fight on the UFC White House card?

Several of the promotion’s biggest names have frantically scrambled to put their name in the mix to headline the bill.

Jon Jones, who retired and vacated his UFC heavyweight title earlier this year, decided to state he would like to make a comeback on the UFC White House card.

He has already re-entered the drug testing pool and is confident he can earn a slot, despite White’s stance that Jones will not be offered a bout on the bill.

If he does take to the White House gardens, bitter rival Tom Aspinall is out of the running as he confirmed he doesn’t want to fight on the bill.

The UFC’s biggest superstar Conor McGregor, who has been inactive since 2021, is now eyeing his own comeback.

After doubts he will ever fight again, he confidently declared his intentions to finally return on the bill, four years on from his brutal defeat to Dustin Poirier.

An opponent is yet unclear, but McGregor has named Michael Chandler as a likely option, whom he was set to fight in 2024 but pulled out injured.

Ronda Rousey has ruled out her own return on the bill, but emerging female star Kayla Harrison could be in the running.

Nonetheless, White will want to get as many big names who are available to stack the bill, and make it a huge commercial success as many in the MMA world expect it will be.
