‘Demand a trade’ – Tyreek Hill’s latest show of frustration has Kansas City Chiefs fans all saying the same thing

Tyreek Hill started his new season as he finished in 2024 — by showing his frustration with the Miami Dolphins.

‘Cheetah’ appeared emotional on the sidelines early in the second quarter against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1.

Footage captured Hill, one of the NFL‘s best players, sitting on the bench, waving his hands up and down as he appeared to have a heated conversation with a member of the Dolphins staff.

The veteran, who has not been named a captain for the 2025 season, was seen raging after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa took a big hit, having already turned the ball over twice in the first half.

Hill had hinted at potential exit back in January, when he voiced his frustration after a season-ending loss to the New York Jets, in which he did not play in the final quarter.

Fast-forward eight months, though, and he is still with the Dolphins.

Hill was irate as Indianapolis took a 20-0 lead into halftime, on course to win a Week 1 game for the first time since 2013.

After Spencer Shrader kicked a 24-yard field goal to give the Colts a 3-0 lead early, Tagovailoa threw his first interception to safety Cam Bynum.

The pass was intended for Hill, but sailed over his head and into the hands of a defender.

Tagovailoa’s second turnover came from a strip-sack from cornerback Kenny Moore on the second play of Miami’s possession.

With two early mistakes, the Dolphins QB struggled to get anything going through two quarters, and walked back to the locker room having completed 5/7 passes for 42 yards.

Hill, meanwhile, was even less of a first-half factor, with two receptions for 15 yards.

Fans call for Chiefs to make blockbuster trade

Amid Miami’s horror show at Lucas Oil Stadium, a number of fans took to social media fans to suggest Hill needed to find a new team.

Or, actually, return to an old one in desperate need of boosting their WR room.

“A Tyreek Hill back to the Chiefs trade is so obvious,” one person wrote on X.

“Tyreek Hill to the Chiefs trade news within a month is gonna hit,” another predicted.

“What week is Tyreek Hill getting traded back to the Chiefs?” a third asked.

“Tyreek Hill is upset with this start. I’m glad. But it doesn’t bode well. He is gonna demand a trade to the Chiefs by Week 4,” a fourth wrote.

Fans believe the Chiefs should look to bring Hill back this season

“Future Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill is frustrated with the Dolphins,” another fan joked.

How long did Hill play for the Chiefs?

If Hill really is past the point of no return in Miami, then a return to Kansas City would certainly make sense.

‘Cheetah’ played the first six years of his NFL career at Arrowhead, and won the Super Bowl at the conclusion of the 2019 season.

He racked up an impressive 6,630 yards and 56 touchdowns across those seasons, establishing himself as Patrick Mahomes’ most explosive weapon once the QB took the starting role.

Given the Chiefs have been perennial Super Bowl contenders in recent years, a return would surely appeal to Hill.

Tagovailoa said the WR has worked to rebuild his teammate’s trust in Miami ahead of the new season, but it seems now he’s back to square one, having shown serious frustration just minutes into the opener.

And if things go from bad to worse for the Dolphins in the coming weeks, trade talk will almost certainly heat up.
