Denise Richards Returns To 'RHOBH' With Her Divorce Drama

The upcoming season of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" is filled with plenty of drama, including Denise Richards' tumultuous split from Aaron Phypers.
It is no secret that the former couple's union has turned bitter over infidelity and abuse allegations, with Richards and Phypers insisting they are the victims in their tumultuous separation.
The cracks in Denise Richards' marriage became evident when Aaron Phypers filed for divorce in July. His estranged wife fired back with a restraining order filing, alleging he had physically and verbally abused her throughout their relationship.
Denise Richards To Discuss Her Split From Aaron Phypers In New Reality TV Gig
Richards made a surprise cameo in the trailer for "RHOBH" season 15, getting emotional as she addressed the end of her marriage to Phypers. The moment captured her with other cast mates at what appeared to be a restaurant, with Richards spotlighting her leaked nudes.
"How could you release pictures of your wife naked?" Richards wondered, referencing the explicit pictures Phypers released in an attempt to prove his estranged wife's alleged infidelity. Erika Jayne then asked if Richards was "afraid," to which she confirmed, "Yeah, very."
Ironically, Richards made her debut as a Housewife on the Bravo series in February 2019, months after tying the knot to Phypers in September 2018. Now, she is returning to the series as a friend of the cast months after ending her almost 7-year union with Phypers.
The TV Personality's Estranged Husband Was Arrested Amid Their Domestic Violence Battle

After Phypers filed for divorce, Richards responded with a temporary restraining order filing. She accused her estranged husband of physical and verbal abuse, leading to them facing off in court over a permanent restraining order for these allegations.
During the legal proceedings, Phypers found himself in hot water when authorities arrested him after a hearing. The Blast covered the story in October, reporting that Phypers was booked on four felony charges linked to the domestic violence allegations.
The charges included two felony counts of injuring a spouse and two felony counts of dissuading a witness by force or threat. Phypers reportedly did not spend the night in jail, regaining his freedom after posting a $200,000 bail.
More About Aaron Phypers' Entanglement With The Law

According to Phypers' attorney, Michael Finley, he was arrested on an outstanding warrant linked to Richards' domestic violence allegations. The attorney argued that Richards and her legal team had set Phypers up for failure because they were unaware of the arrest warrant.
Phypers was taken into custody the same day his mother took the stand in the permanent restraining order case to defend him. The matriarch denied Richards' abuse claims, alleging that her son had never harmed or threatened his wife.
Compared to Phypers' mother's tales of innocence, his cousin, Kathleen McAllister, testified in Richards' favor. During an October 6 hearing, McAllister recalled several instances of alleged abuse, accusing Phypers of harming his then-wife physically and emotionally.
The Alleged Abuser Fears His Possible Incarceration

Getting betrayed by his cousin was the least of Phypers' problems, as Closer reported that he was scheduled to return to court on December 19 to face the new charges leveled against him. A source noted the upcoming hearing was a source of anxiety for Phypers.
"He's trying to put on a brave face and smile his way through it all, but deep down, Aaron is terrified about being locked up," the source explained. On the other hand, Richards was hellbent on sending him to jail to pay for all of his alleged crimes.
The source added that her confidence further terrified Phypers, saying, "She won't rest until he's behind bars, paying for his crimes by freezing himself to sleep every night in a lonely prison cell." They claimed Richards wanted to watch her estranged husband "suffer for everything he's put her through."
Denise Richards' Ex Pushed For Her OnlyFans Earnings

Before his arrest, Phypers made waves for fighting for a cut of Richards' OnlyFans earnings. The Blast shared that he filed legal documents seeking his share of her profits from the explicit platform, arguing that he was entitled to her earnings.
Phypers explained that while he and Richards were still a couple, he had taken the pictures she uploaded on the X-rated site. He implored the court to grant him a sensible cut from her profits, claiming his estranged wife made $200,000 to $300,000 monthly from the photos.
Richards' estranged husband begged the court for his share of the profits because of his dire financial state. Phypers alleged that he had little to his name after his ex froze him out of their joint bank accounts, leaving him penniless.
What secrets will Denise Richards spill in the new season of "RHOBH" set to premiere in December?
