Elaina St. James’ ‘Deez Nuts’ Warning Proves 'No Nut November' Is No Joke

Instagram influencer and OnlyFans model Elaina St. James is making headlines for more than her confidence this week. She’s now warning followers about an unexpected health risk hiding in one of Costco’s most popular snacks. In a new viral Reel titled “Take It Easy on Deez Nuts!”, the 50-plus creator, who boasts over 430,000 followers, revealed that a doctor fan alerted her to the dangers of eating too many Brazil nuts, a key ingredient in Kirkland’s Keto Snack Mix. The warning surprised fans, and the timing couldn’t be more ironic. As social media dives headfirst into “No Nut November,” a month-long viral challenge that encourages abstaining from masturbation, St. James’ message has people joking that it might be time to “cut back on nuts” in every sense of the phrase.
Elaina St. James Warns Fans About Hidden Danger In Costco’s Keto Snack Mix

Kirkland’s Keto Snack Mix, a Costco fan favorite, includes freeze-dried cheese, pecans, hazelnuts, and Brazil nuts, the last of which contain extremely high levels of selenium. While selenium is vital in small doses, too much can cause selenium toxicity, leading to hair loss, brittle nails, nausea, irritability, and even heart or kidney issues.
"It’s actually crazy," she told The Blast exclusively. "I never knew you could overdo it on a type of nut!!"
After a doctor fan warned her about the dangers of selenium overload, Elaina took a closer look at her snacking habits, and what she discovered left her stunned. “I told him I’d been snacking on it all day, every day,” Elaina added. “And he just said flat-out: ‘You need to stop. You could be risking selenium toxicity.’ I had never heard of that!"
St. James Says She Was ‘Shocked’ To Learn Too Many Brazil Nuts Could Be Dangerous
Elaina admits she was shocked to learn that her go-to healthy snack might have been doing more harm than good. "I was eating maybe 8 to 10 Brazil nuts a day without thinking,” she explained. “I thought I was being keto healthy! But apparently, the safe limit is about two a day.”
Elaina clarified she’s not a medical professional, but said she felt compelled to share the discovery. “It sounded insane to me, but I Googled it, and he was right," she admitted. "Now I still eat the mix, but I pick the Brazil nuts out and only allow myself two a day. There really should be a warning label!”
From Single Mom To Social Media Sensation

Before becoming one of OnlyFans’ most successful creators, Elaina St. James was a single mom in Wisconsin, earning $30,000 a year at an insurance job that barely paid the bills. Then, one freezing January night in 2021, everything changed.
After reading a PEOPLE Magazine story about a mom making six figures a month on OnlyFans, Elaina saw an opportunity. “I was making $30K a year, no benefits, trying to raise my son on my own,” she previously told The Blast. “I just remember thinking, how am I ever going to retire? How will I take care of him?”
She spent a month researching how to start, diving into marketing, content creation, and social media from scratch. “I was like a sponge,” she said. “I knew nothing about algorithms or hashtags. But I had determination.”
Now with over 430,000 followers, Elaina has built a brand on confidence, reinvention, and authenticity, and she’s using that same platform to share unexpected lessons with her fans.
Launching Her Next Chapter: Empowerment Over Exposure

After four years and more than $1.5 million earned on OnlyFans, Elaina St. James isn’t slowing down, but she’s evolving. At 58, the self-made entrepreneur is launching Elaina Empowers, a new brand designed to help women rebrand, rebuild, and rediscover themselves in business and in life.
Her mission? To guide women 35 and up toward financial freedom and confidence online, no “spicy” content required. “It’s not just business. It’s mindset,” Elaina told The Blast last month. “I want women to know it’s never too late to rebrand your life.”
Elaina St. James Proves Sexy And Smart Go Hand-In-Hand

Elaina St. James, dubbed “America’s Favorite Cougar," rose to fame for her empowering message of self-confidence and reinvention at any age. Now, her unexpected wellness warning is proving that even lighthearted posts can spark real conversations about health awareness, and maybe even give "No Nut November" a little extra meaning.
