Gunnar Helm start or sit: Week 16 fantasy football advice

The 2-12 Tennessee Titans welcome the 6-8 Kansas City Chiefs to Nashville. The Titans are just 3-point underdogs to the now Patrick Mahomes-less Chiefs, so this matchup looks much different than we expected when perusing the schedule early on. Of course, the Chiefs till have an above average defense and the Titans don’t have much offense to speak of, as they’ve averaged just 16 this season.

Of course, even on bad teams, fantasy points will be scored. Of late, tight end Gunnar Helm has shown some fantasy upside with Two top ten fantasy games over his last four games. Has he shown enough to be startable in the fantasy playoffs though?

Below, we’ll go over Gunnar Helm’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 16.

Fantasy Football analysis: Titans, TE, Gunnar Helm

Helm has caught four or more passes in four of his last five games and has shown himself to have a decent fantasy floor. A touchdown last week, his second of the season, helped boost him. And he has four red zone targets over the last three games.

The Chiefs rank fifth-best in fantasy points allowed to tight ends and Helm shares time with Chig Okonkwo. For the fantasy playoffs I would really prefer a tight end who consistently leads the team in tight end snap percentage. Helm also is more of a short catch and fall down kind of receiver. He’s not going to give you a whole lot after the catch.
