Jamie Vardy rejects late offer from ex-Arsenal and Manchester United star to join Serie A team

Jamie Vardy is set to sign for Serie A side US Cremonese.
talkSPORT understands Vardy rejected a late offer from Manchester United and Arsenal legend Robin van Persie to join Feyenoord.
The striker has agreed a one-year deal with the option of a further year at Cremonese and will undergo a medical tomorrow.
Vardy won the Premier League and FA Cup with the Foxes before he announced he would depart at the end of the 2024/25 season.
Vardy finalises his future
Leicester bid an emotional farewell to Vardy on May 18 when he scored on his 500th appearance in a 2-0 win against Ipswich Town.
He left the Foxes with 200 goals and 71 assists in all competitions and as one of the greatest players in their history.
Championship side Wrexham were heavily linked with a move, as well as Scottish strugglers Rangers.
Cremonese’s Serie A rivals Genoa were also reportedly interested, but head coach Patrick Vieira vetoed a transfer.
Vardy’s wife Rebekah sparked speculation over a stunning move to Inter Miami, where he could play MLS football with Lionel Messi.
She posted images of their children in Miami kits, but Cremona is set to become their new home.
Cremonese, who won promotion from Serie B last season, are second in Serie A.
They stunned AC Milan on the opening weekend with a 2-1 win at the San Siro.
A 3-2 victory over Sassuolo followed on Friday night at their 14,834 capacity Stadio Giovanni Zini.
Only reigning champions Napoli boast a better start to the season, as they sit top on goal difference.
Vardy could make his Cremonese debut on September 15 when they travel to Verona.
