Keyser routs Hampshire; Moorefield cruises over Tucker County
KEYSER, W.Va. — No. 2 Keyser scored 10 runs in the first inning and cruised to a three-inning 17-1 rout of Hampshire on Tuesday.
The Golden Tornado (6-1) recorded five hits and three walks during the frame and also reached on three errors.
Sophie Lambka, Suzy Cosenza and Bibs Felton each had a pair of hits.
Cosenza drove in three RBIs while Lambka, Kailynn Burns and Addy Paugh all drove in a pair.
Tavery Lyons got the win in two frames, she was charged with an unearned run on two hits and a walk with a strikeout.
Charly Ashton and Payton Billmeyer recorded the two hits for the Trojans (0-4).
Keyser is at Southern (0-2) on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
Hampshire hosts No. 5 Frankfort (7-1) on Wednesday, followed by East Hardy (1-2) on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

HAMBELTON, W.Va. — Moorefield capitalized off seven Tucker County errors, coasting to a five-inning win on Tuesday.
The Yellow Jackets (2-5) scored three runs off errors and added two more off a wild pitch and passed ball.
Moorefield had five players record one hit each with Emmy Crites and Kerigan Bergdall each driving in a pair of runs.
Anniston Kite earned the win in three innings of one-run ball, allowing three hits and three walks with three strikeouts.
Peyton Hicks took the loss, but only four of the 10 runs charged against her were earned.
The Yellow Jackets head to Berkeley Springs on Wednesday before hosting No. 4 Petersburg (4-1) on Thursday at 6 p.m.
