Kilgore Bulldogs get community send-off prior to state championship
KILGORE, Texas (KETK)– Before the Kilgore Bulldogs head to Arlington to compete in the 4A Division I State Championship, the community will be holding a send-off for the team on Thursday afternoon.
The send-off will begin at 12:15 p.m. and fans will gather along the streets to support the Bulldogs as they begin their trip to AT&T Stadium. Anyone attending is asked to line up on School Street through Kilgore Street, as that will be the route the Bulldogs will be taking to leave Kilgore.
The Bulldogs will face the Stephenville Yellowjackets on Friday morning, who are currently 15-0 this season and will be looking to claim their sixth title in school history and first since 2021.
This will be the second year in a row that Kilgore has reached the championship game and they are seeking their second title in program history. The Bulldogs last 4A title was in 2004.
The game is expected to kick off at 11 a.m. and tickets can be purchased on GoTickets, Tickets Center, or StubHub.
