Kristin Cabot Files for Divorce After Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal: Report

Kristin Cabot has reportedly filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, nearly one month after her viral kiss cam moment with former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron during a Coldplay concert.

Kristin filed for divorce in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on August 13, according to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail on Saturday, September 6. Neither Kristin nor Andrew has publicly addressed their reported separation. Us Weekly has reached out for comment.

Kristin and Byron — the then-Chief People Officer and CEO, respectively, of the tech company Astronomer — made headlines after the coworkers were caught on a jumbotron cuddling during the July 16 Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Byron had his arms wrapped around Kristin until the camera panned over, at which point he dropped to the ground to hide and she turned and shielded her face.

“Whoa, look at these two. All right, come on. You’re OK,” Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said during the awkward moment. “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy. I’m not quite sure what to do.”

Martin, 48, then wondered aloud about the soon-to-be viral ordeal, saying, “I hope we didn’t do something bad.”

Byron and Kristin, who started working together at Astronomer in November 2024, are both married to other people. Andy’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, subsequently appeared to remove “Byron” from her Facebook profile before ultimately deleting her account.

In the wake of the scandal, Andy resigned from his position as CEO of Astronomer.

“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,” a spokesperson for the company told Us Weekly in a July 19 statement. “Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.”

The statement continued, “Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI. While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not. We’re continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems.”

The following week, Us confirmed Kristin also stepped down from her position as Chief People Officer.

“Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer,” a spokesperson for the company told Us on July 24. “She has resigned.”
