LeBron shares three-word reaction as son Bronny takes up golf and impresses fans with ‘smooth’ swing

As is the trend these days, Bronny James has entered the world of golf.
The son of NBA legend LeBron James, a fellow avid golfer, was recently filmed showing off his swing to influencer Grant Horvat, and it has quickly gone viral.
The Lakers guard, who completed his rookie season last year, said in the video that he has only been playing golf for four months.
“Bronny’s only been playing for 4 months. Y’all won’t believe this video tomorrow,” Horvat wrote above the teaser of his new golf video with the 20-year-old.
In the clip, Horvat asked, “So you only been playing for four months?”
“Yeah,” Bronny replied.
And if that is the case, his swing is pretty decent for a newbie in the sport.
Fans online largely agreed, with some refusing to believe Bronny is only four months into the sport.
“Kinda smooth honestly,” one fan posted on X.
“Swing is def not 4 months old,” another wrote.
“You can tell he just started but is a natural. A couple lessons and he’ll probably start ripping it,” one fan wrote.
It wasn’t just fans admiring Bronny’s swing as LeBron and his mother, Savannah James, also reacted.
“That boy smooth!!” wrote LeBron on Instagram, while his wife shared the video with some hearts emoji.
Newfound golf obsession in the James’ family
As the highly anticipated Ryder Cup looms, and with the NBA in its offseason, it seems that golf is the main sport inside the James household.
It was only a month ago that LeBron posted a video of himself and Bronny together on a golfing trip.
“Sr & Jr,” followed by two crown emojis, LeBron wrote below the video.
The King wrote in another caption that there was “nothing like” hanging out with his son.
LeBron’s golf obsession is nothing new; the four-time NBA champion is an investor in the PGA Tour.
His investment came in 2024 amid the PGA’s desire for a cash injection as it fights for men’s professional golf supremacy against LIV Golf.
He was joined by the likes of rapper Drake and Hollywood actor Chris Pratt in that investment round.
The total investment that the PGA received at the time from the trio and others tallied an impressive $3 billion.
