Marc Guehi’s Crystal Palace exit video leaked online after Liverpool transfer collapses

Marc Guehi’s exit video from Crystal Palace appears to have leaked on social media after his proposed move to Liverpool collapsed.
The Premier League champions’ move for the England defender has fell through in a huge twist on deadline day.
Liverpool agreed a £35million deal with Palace late on in the transfer window and the centre-back completed a medical in London.
But Palace were unable to complete a loan move for Brighton defender Igor Julio, who opted to sign for West Ham instead.
And even though a deal sheet for Guehi’s move to Liverpool had been submitted, he will remain at Selhurst Park.
talkSPORT understands Palace boss Oliver Glasner played a direct role in the defender staying at the club.
Glasner threatened to walk away if Guehi was sold having failed to sign two centre-backs during the summer window.
But despite Guehi not becoming a Liverpool player, his goodbye video to Palace was seemingly posted on X.
It featured a montage of his best moments at the club since signing from Chelsea in 2021.
Guehi’s goals and defensive contributions all featured in a video that spanned just over three minutes.
Towards the end, there are celebratory images of him and the Palace squad after their FA Cup win in May.
“Thank you Skip,” the club wrote on the screen at the end, although they will now get the chance to see play for them again this season.
What next for Guehi?
Palace found themselves in a difficult situation this summer in terms of their captain’s future.
Guehi could have been sold to Liverpool for £35m, but there is now a risk that they lose him on a free transfer next summer.
talkSPORT understands the 25-year-old is content to see out the last year of his deal at the Eagles.
It remains to be seen if Palace will be able to convince him to sign an extension throughout the course of the season.
However, should they miss out on the opportunity, he will be able to leave the club for nothing in 2026.
Liverpool could look to sign him once again before the 2026/27 campaign as Ibrahima Konate sees his contract expire in June.
Guehi has made 161 appearances for Palace in all competitions since his arrival four years ago.
He has scored nine goals, with the latest one coming in their 3-0 win at Aston Villa on Sunday.
