Maura Higgins Reveals Who She 'Got on With' Best During 'Traitors' Season 4

Maura Higgins traded the luxury Love Island villa for the mystery-ridden Traitors castle, where she found herself bonding with her fellow Traitors and Faithfuls.

“Filming Traitors was an experience [and] very, very different for me. I had never watched a show, but I had a great time,” Higgins, 34, exclusively told Us Weekly at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday, November 4. “It was different, but I had a great time and I met some incredible people. I met some truly good friends out of it. So, I’m very happy about that.”

She continued, “I never watched it [before], but what an experience. It is going to be an incredible season.”

Higgins is among the cast set to compete in the murder mystery-style Peacock competition for its upcoming season 4. While she obviously couldn’t reveal this season’s plot twists and eventual winners, she did give Us a glimpse into her bonds with her fellow contestants.

“[I got close to] Lisa Rinna, Colton Underwood, Mark Ballas [and] Donna Kelce,” Higgins said, also referring to Jason and Travis Kelce’s mother as “a queen.”

The reality TV vet added, “To be honest, I got on with everyone. Candiace [Dillard Bassett], oh, my God, what a woman. [I] love her so much [and] Monét [X Change].”

Higgins also found it “amazing” to work with Traitors host Alan Cumming.

“He’s amazing. I mean, his outfits,” she quipped. “I was gasping every single day!”

Cumming, 60, wasn’t the only Traitors cast member to slay his onscreen style.

“The fashion was insane, by the way,” she teased at the New York-held awards ceremony. “I went all out with my fashion, like, I was planning my looks for weeks on end with my stylist.”

While Higgins pre-planned her outfits before arriving at the now-famed Scottish castle, the same can’t be said for her game strategies.

“I didn’t want to go in with any preconception. I wanted to go in and just be me,” Higgins said, revealing that she opted against reaching out to previous contestants for any advice. “That’s what I’ve done on all the shows that I’ve done, so I just wanted to stick to that.”

Higgins rose to fame as a bombshell on season 5 of Love Island U.K. in 2019, finishing in fourth place with then-boyfriend Curtis Pritchard. The pair, however, broke up less than one year later. Higgins and Pritchard, 29, reunited three years later in 2023 during the first iteration of Love Island Games. While the ballroom dance pro went to compete, Higgins served as the social media correspondent.

Higgins still works as presenter for both Love Island Games and Love Island USA’s Aftersun broadcasts.

“This year has honestly been crazy. I feel so incredibly lucky to still be a part of Love Island and to be working on Love Island USA,” she told Us on Tuesday. “I am so honored. I love my Love Island family so much.”

The Traitors season 4 is slated to premiere on Peacock in early 2026.
