MLB prop bets today [September 9, 2025]

The Los Angeles Dodgers cap off Tuesday’s slate of games with a divisional matchup against the Colorado Rockies.

With the San Diego Padres just one game back from first in the NL West, the Los Angeles Dodgers must take advantage of their favorable matchup against Colorado in order to hold on to their lead in the division standings. Luckily for the reigning World Series champions, they face off against German Marquez who has struggled with his command on the mound this season.

With fifteen games taking place on Tuesday night, there are plenty of prop bets and markets to wager on which you can read a detailed breakdown of them below.

Colorado Rockies vs Los Angeles Dodgers (10:10pm, EST)

German Marquez Under 3.5 Strikeouts: (-115) at Caesars Sportsbook

It has been a rough few weeks for the Los Angeles Dodgers as the reigning World Series champions are 3-7 in their last 10 games. Their cold stretch of play could not come at a worse time as the San Diego Padres are currently just one game back from first in the NL West division standings with less than 25 games remaining in the regular season.

Fortunately for the Dodgers, they have a great opportunity to round back into form on Tuesday night as they face off against Colorado’s German Marquez who has severely underwhelmed this season. In his 22 starts, Marquez is averaging an ERA of 6.19 and a WHIP of 1.709. His struggles on the mound can be pointed to his low Whiff Rate as Marquez is also averaging less than one Strikeout per Inning Pitched.

Los Angeles Dodgers First Five Innings Team Total Over 3: (-145) at BetMGM Sportsbook

With Marquez struggling to punch out, the Dodgers offense will be in a position to thrive from the opening pitch as their lineup ranks near the top of the board in Contact Rate, On Base Percentage, and in Slugger Percentage. Especially when Marquez is surrounded by the worst back end in the league as the Rockies defense currently ranks dead last in Defensive Efficiency and in Fielding Percentage.

Detroit Tigers vs New York Yankees (7:05pm, EST)

Will Warren Under 5.5 Strikeouts: (-135) at FanDuel Sportsbook

After entering the year listed as the betting favorite to win the AL East, the New York Yankees have struggled to secure the top spot in the division standings as they are currently two games back from Toronto from first. Will Warren has not helped them in their efforts of competing for the division title as the Yankees pitcher is averaging an ERA of 4.28 and a WHIP of 1.390.

In a potential playoff matchup against Detroit, expect Warren to continue to struggle with keeping opposing runners off the bases as he faces off against a Tigers offense who ranks above league average in Contact Rate and in On Base Percentage. For some more exposure, escalator bet Warren’s Strikeout prop by placing smaller wagers on his alternate unders at the best available odds.

Riley Greene to Record 2+ Hits: (+270) at FanDuel Sportsbook

It has been a year to forget for Nick Allen as the Braves batter is currently averaging less than one Hit per game, a .221 Batting Average, and .533 OPS. With Imanaga averaging less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched, as well as the Cubs ranking fifth in Fielding Percentage, expect Allen to continue to struggle and be held without a Hit.

Chicago Cubs vs Atlanta Braves (7:15pm, EST)

Atlanta Braves First Five Innings Team Total Under 2: (-145) at BetMGM Sportsbook

Since the start of the regular season, the Atlanta Braves offense have underperformed as their offense currently ranks below league average in Contact Rate. Their struggles with generating Hits hurts their ability to get into scoring position as their offense also ranks in the bottom half of the board in RBIs and in Total Runs Scored.

Against Cade Horton, expect the Braves struggles on offense to continue to persist as the Chicago Cubs pitcher enters the contest averaging an ERA of 2.78, a WHIP of 1.138, and a FIP of 3.69. If the Braves team total for the first five innings drops down to 1.5, then reduce the size of your wager.
