Defending champions the Philadelphia Eagles got proceedings underway for the new season on Thursday night with a narrow 24-20 victory over fierce NFC East rivals the Dallas Cowboys, and more exciting drama and headlines are set to be created this weekend.

Week 1’s marquee matchup arrives on Sunday night at Highmark Stadium, where two of the AFC’s leading contenders collide. Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens face Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills in a clash that could shape the conference race from the very start.

Elsewhere, the Green Bay Packers look to make an early statement following the high-profile addition of defensive powerhouse Micah Parsons. They face last season’s NFC top seed, the Detroit Lions, in a divisional showdown with major playoff implications.
