Ahead of the release of Michael Jackson's biopic, his daughter, Paris Jackson, has announced that she was sidelined from it and has seemingly washed her hands of it.

The film, "Michael," follows the life of the deceased King of Pop, starring his nephew Jaafar Jackson in the lead role and Colman Domingo playing Joe Jackson, his father.

At the recently concluded amfAR, where Paris and Domingo were in attendance, "The Four Seasons" actor credited Paris for supporting her father's movie. However, the "Let Down" singer is now setting the record straight about her involvement.

The "Scream" actress quickly refuted Domingo's remarks, taking to her Instagram Stories to call him out. "@kingofbingo don't be telling people I was 'helpful' on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol that is so weird," the 27-year-old singer wrote

While the youngster has clarified her stance in the show's production, she, however, admitted to reading the draft and giving her feedback.

"I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my thoughts on what was dishonest/didn't sit right with me, and when they didn't address it, I moved on with my life," Jackson shared in another update. "Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and god speed," she concluded.

Emphasizing her non-involvement with the upcoming film, Jackson opened up about the few occasions she interacted with the "Euphoria" actor.

In a clip she posted, she referenced Domingo's interview, responding with a perplexed face at his statements before recounting her encounters with him.

"I've met this man twice – once at a birthday party and once at the amfAR event the other night. Both were very brief interactions," she explained.

The "Dead Sea" singer ended her video, casually shrugging off the way she referred to Domingo as "This man."

Paris's comments about her ties to the project come two months after it faced its third release delay. As The Blast reported, the premiere date, which was rescheduled from April 2025 to October 2025, is now postponed to April 24, 2026.

The delay is due to the lengthy runtime of the movie, which led the producers to split the film into two parts to capture the musician's life successfully. The first cut exceeded three and a half hours and included a reference to Jordan Chandler, who accused Jackson of molestation at age 13.

The "Heal The World" hitmaker settled the allegations in 1994 for $20 million, though he never admitted guilt. However, those parts had to be edited out as it was discovered that Chandler had an agreement that prevented him from being in the movie.

While fans can look forward to a televised retelling of the late Michael's life despite the pushback, the prospect of a similar project for his sister, Janet Jackson, remains unclear.

According to The Blast, Janet has paused offers to bring her life story to the screen, noting that the spotlight should remain on her brother for now. She also wants her family to focus on honoring the "Butterflies" singer and cherishing their memories of him.

"Janet is holding off on any career retrospective project of her own for the time being out of respect for the rest of her family," a source confirmed.

Additionally, the consideration extended to Jaafar, as taking on the leading role in Michael's film marked his acting debut.
