Police Find Body Inside Impounded Tesla Reportedly Registered to D4vd

The Los Angeles Police Department has launched a death investigation after a gruesome discovery.

Police confirmed to Us Weekly that officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue in Hollywood on Monday, September 8, “for a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard.”

Detectives responded and located possible human remains inside a Tesla. Police confirmed it is currently a death investigation.

Authorities told KTLA that the Tesla was towed from the Hollywood Hills after it was reported abandoned nearly a week ago.

Aerial footage captured from the local news station showed police yellow tape encircling the Tesla, along with several parked vehicles, in the impound lot. A white canopy was also set up nearby.

Due to the decomposition of the body, the gender of the alleged victim isn’t known at this time.

TMZ and KABC reported that the car is registered in Hempstead, Texas, to David Anthony Burke, also known as singer D4vd.

Police, however, told Us, “We do not have information on the vehicle or the owner.” Us has reached out to D4vd’s rep for comment.

In an statement to NBC News, a spokesperson for D4vd said he “has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.”

Before a body was discovered in a vehicle reportedly registered to D4vd, the 20-year-old artist took to social media on Saturday, September 6, and revealed, “I start media training tomorrow guys wish me luck … ”

On Monday, he also shared a new post about his upcoming album, titled Withered Deluxe: Marcescence.

“Every song written exclusively by me on my phone baby, this is a passion project i put together to make sure i didn’t lose the raw emotional weight my music carries and how much it means to u all,” D4vd wrote via Instagram. “Thank you to all the friends who collaborated with me on this everyone ATE THEIR VERSES UP .”

D4vd is a rising artist who has found success with hits like “Here With Me” and “Romantic Homicide.”

He is currently traveling on his Withered world tour and is expected to perform in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Tuesday, September 9. The shows are in support of his latest album, which was released in April.
