Ram Prepares Another Street Truck to Challenge Ford’s F-150 Lobo at SEMA

The Ford F-150 Lobo has put the spotlight on a near-forgotten segment earlier this year: the sport-oriented street truck. Designed with muscle in mind rather than mud, it reminded us that there’s still room for low, fast pickups in a world obsessed with off-roaders. That move didn’t go unnoticed in Auburn Hills. Ram had already tested those waters through Fox Factory Vehicles with its 650-horsepower Ram 1500 DC650, a lowered, supercharged monster that seemed purpose-built to chase the Lobo’s spotlight.
Now, it looks like Ram is getting ready for another round. At the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Mopar – the brand’s official performance and parts arm – is teasing a fresh concept that could hint at the next chapter in Ram’s street truck playbook. And based on early sketches, this one might wear its muscle heritage even louder. Fox Factory Vehicles
Mopar’s Green Machine
Mopar’s second teaser for SEMA shows a Ram 1500 concept finished in a bright Sublime Green hue, a familiar color for classic Dodge Chargers and Challengers. The truck sits noticeably lower, its wheel wells tightly packed and its profile unmistakably street-ready. The front fascia wears a mesh-style grille instead of the standard Laramie bars, and the hood scoop in the center hints at serious intent under the sheet metal.
There’s also a Symbol of Protest badge on the fender – a familiar marker of the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with eTorque. Rumors suggest it could debut Mopar’s new Gen6 3.0-liter Whipple twin-screw supercharger, recently seen at events like Roadkill Nights and the Woodward Dream Cruise. Details aside, the lowered stance, black side graphics, and clean front-end design give it the stance of a proper muscle truck – more boulevard prowler than workhorse. FCA
Side-By-Side With Another Mopar Concept
This new Ram concept follows Mopar’s first teaser for SEMA 2025: the Dodge Charger SIXPACK concept, a wide, electrified showpiece hinting at the future of Dodge performance. Together, the two builds show how Mopar plans to keep its muscle spirit alive across different brands—one electric and one proudly powered by Hemi.
The 2025 SEMA Show runs from November 4 to November 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where Mopar will unveil both vehicles along with a lineup of performance parts and custom builds.
