Rangers' J.T. Miller, Devils' Jack Hughes among those named to 2026 U.S. Olympic men's hockey team

With about a month away from the start of the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, rosters are being officially set and there are some familiar faces for Rangers and Devils fans.

USA Hockey announced on Friday that New York's J.T. Miller and Vincent Trocheck are among the 25 players on the 2026 U.S. Olympic men's hockey team, along with New Jersey's Jack Hughes.

Miller has recorded 22 points (10 goals, 12 assists) over 35 games this season for the Blue Shirts, while Trocheck also has notched 22 points (nine goals, 13 assists) over just 28 games.

Hughes, who missed 18 games after a "freak" hand injury, returned to New Jersey's lineup on Dec. 21 and has registered 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists) as well through 22 contests.

The U.S. will play its first game against Latvia on Feb. 12 at 3:10 p.m. ET.

Notably missing from Team USA is Rangers defenseman Adam Fox, as he did not make the roster for Milano Cortina 2026.

Fox said he was "disappointed" by the news after U.S. general manager Bill Guerin called him on Wednesday to let him know ahead of time.

"Obviously, it's disappointing," Fox said. "I thought I played as well as I think I could have and that decision comes out of your hands at a certain point. It is what it is. You just have to move on."

The 27-year-old represented the U.S. during the 4 Nations Face-Off last year, but has missed time this season due to injury, recently returning from a 14-game absence.
