Report: Kings’ Keegan Murray out three-to-four weeks with left ankle sprain

The Sacramento Kings have lost another starter to injury.

Forward Keegan Murray will be sidelined three-to-four weeks after suffering a left ankle sprain against the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, NBA insider Marc Stein reported on Tuesday.

The injury occurred with 4:01 remaining in the third quarter.

The 25-year-old underwent an MRI during the game, which revealed a moderate sprain.

In his fourth NBA season, Murray is averaging 14.6 points, 1.5 assists, 6.1 rebounds along with over a block and steal per contest. This will mark his third multi-game injury absence of the season.

He has appeared in just 19 of Sacramento’s 36 games.

Sacramento (8-28) is 14th in the Western Conference, and has not seen its lineup at full strength this season. Star centre Domantas Sabonis has missed 21 straight games with a partial meniscus tear in his left knee.

The Kings are set to host the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.
