Robert Irwin Is Reportedly Nursing An Injury Ahead Of 'DWTS' Finale

Robert Irwin won't be going down without a fight, as he heads to the finale of "Dancing with the Stars" with more than sore muscles.
After 11 weeks of competing against professional dancers and their celebrity teammates, the Australian conservationist has one final hurdle to face in his goal to become the next winner of the coveted Mirrorball trophy.
However, the task may be more daunting for Robert Irwin and his pro partner, Witney Carson, than their competitors. The professional dancer revealed a day before the finale that they were worse for wear after weeks of rigorous performances.
Robert Irwin Will Be Dancing Through The Pain In His Ribs

On November 24, Carson updated fans about her and Irwin's condition in a GRWM video on TikTok. The dancer looked exhausted as she took fans through her preparations, describing her appearance as "wrecked" after "11 weeks of crazy, vigorous, hard dancing."
"My body is feeling it. Robert's body is feeling it. We're kind of falling apart right now. I'm just trying to keep it together for like two more days, literally today and tomorrow, and then it's over," Carson explained. She added that Irwin was in worse shape because his "ribs have been killing him."
Carson noted that Irwin's injury added to her stress because she had to change their routine to involve other dancers and make sure everything came together before the finale on Tuesday, November 25. She assured fans that they were doing their best to prepare, hailing Irwin for pushing through the pain.
The Wildlife Photographer Refused To Throw In The Towel
Despite the pain in his ribs, Carson revealed that Irwin had been keeping up with rehearsals and pushing his body past its limits. "He's going to want to rehearse till the very last second. Last night we stayed at the studio till it closed down, like they had to kick us out at 9 p.m.," the dancer recalled.
Carson added that she believed they would have no regrets at the end of the show, confessing that she already felt like a winner thanks to her amazing experience with Irwin. She labeled their memories together as "the biggest gift" and thanked fans for their support.
Surprisingly, Irwin did not mention his injury while reflecting on the end of his journey with Carson. He shared a video of the duo getting emotional as they shared a hug before bidding their rehearsal studio goodbye.
"I'm gonna miss this. Thanks for the best memories, Witney. I will cherish this experience forever," he captioned the Instagram post.
The Irwins Proudly Penned Their Love For The Conservationist
Ahead of the dance competition's finale, the Irwin family dropped tributes celebrating Robert's advancement to the last week. His mother, Terri Irwin, dropped a video montage of her, her son, and his late father, Steve Irwin.
Terri captioned the emotional reel with her love for Robert, recalling that he grew up as a child "full of wonder and adventure, with such compassion for every creature." The doting mom noted that regardless of the final results, Robert's "DWTS" journey would shape his life forever.
The environmentalist's older sister, Bindi Irwin, echoed similar supportive sentiments on her Instagram page. She shared a throwback picture of Robert celebrating her victory after she and her dance partner, Derek Hough, won the Mirrorball trophy during the dance show's 21st season.
Bindi Irwin Temporarily Moved To L.A. To Support Her Younger Brother

In her tribute, Bindi reflected on Robert's support during her 2015 stint on the dance show. She noted that it was finally her turn to cheer for him the way he had done for her, stressing that her pride in him wouldn't diminish no matter the outcome.
Bindi has been vocal about her love for Robert throughout his "DWTS" journey, even temporarily relocating to Los Angeles with her daughter to support him. She broke the news on Instagram in September, raving about her "incredible brother."
The media personality noted that her family's Australian Zoo would always be her home; however, she didn't think twice about relocating to support Robert. Bindi vowed to be the loudest person in the audience, cheering for her younger brother alongside her daughter, Grace.
Robert Irwin Received Prince William's Support

The Irwin family weren't the only ones rooting for the wildlife photographer's success, as Prince William unveiled himself as one of his biggest cheerleaders. The Blast covered the story, reporting that the future king had surprised his pal on the dance show.
William popped by virtually to check in on Irwin and wish him luck in the competition. Sources noted that Irwin's dance partner, Carson, was pleasantly surprised by the message as she never expected the Prince of Wales to be aware of her existence.
This wasn't the first time William had made a virtual appearance to support Irwin, as he did so in June. The Royal left a message for Irwin during his appearance on Radio 2, raving about his stellar personality and contributions towards conservation.
