'Sister Wives' Christine Brown Reacts To Ex Kody Entertaining A Fifth Wife: 'Is It Just For The Camera?'
After almost four years of ending things with her ex-husband, Kody Brown, Christine Brown has expressed concern about the possibility of him taking a fifth wife.
The "Sister Wives" star, who was the first wife in the plural family, is also opening up about how she closed the chapter on this part of her life.
She has even gone ahead to release more intimate details about how her marriage with her ex-husband ended.
Christine Brown Shares Her Opinion On The Idea Of Kody Getting A New Wife
In a recently released episode of "The Sarah Fraser Show," Christine admitted she doesn't understand why Kody might want to take a fifth wife. "I do not even know how to wrap my mind around what I have seen that they are even entertaining," she shared.
Expressing more confusion about the possibility of bringing in a fifth wife, the mother of six further questioned,
"Are they? Is it just for [the] camera? I do not know. I just don't know. But, I hope not, because what they have is a soulmate situation. They really do."
Christine doesn't think it would be fair for Kody to get a new wife, as it goes against his proclaimed love for monogamy, particularly since his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, is often referred to as his "soulmate."
How The Possibility Of Kody Getting A New Wife Came To Light
These revelations surfaced in the season 20 trailer of "Sister Wives." After being married to four women, Kody is now left only with Robyn, as the other three, Christine, Janelle, and Meri, walked away from the marriage, with Christine being the first to leave.
In the clip, Kody revealed to Robyn that there might be a new addition to the family. "I got another one of those emails from some woman asking, sort of, to get to know us for the purpose of joining the family," he said
Robyn, the only remaining wife, didn't appear thrilled by this news and showed no signs of being pleased.
Will Christine Brown Be Leading Her Co-Wives Back To Kody?
With this new development, it doesn't seem to concern the other three ex-wives, who are all focused on starting new chapters in their lives.
As reported by The Blast, Christine, the eldest among the ex-wives, who has now moved forward with her partner, David Woolley, has confessed that she never wants to speak to Kody again.
"I don't want to talk to Kody ever again," she mentioned firmly. Meri has also made it clear she has no intention of reconciling, boldly telling Kody to his face. "We are never, ever, getting back together," She said, quoting Taylor Swift.
"We talked about the spiritual divorce, and I think I'm ready," Janelle revealed on her part. All these decisions stand in contrast to Kody's expressed desire for "healing" with his ex-wives.
Christine Brown Talks About How Her Part In The Marriage With Kody Ended
The mother of six has taken out time to reflect on how her marriage with Kody fell apart.
As reported by The Blast, she revealed that the introduction of Robyn into the family as the fourth wife marked the beginning of the end of her relationship, as she often felt left behind.
"I felt like Robyn had a better couch. I felt like she had better dishes and better decorations, and like so many things," Christine recalled, adding that her role eventually felt insignificant, as though she was a "scrap."
She explained that Robyn became the benchmark for the rest of them, which only led to harmful comparisons.
Christine Brown Gives More Intimate Details On How Her Marriage With Kody Ended
Beyond favoritism, another pressing issue for Christine was how her sex life with Kody deteriorated after Robyn entered the picture.
She noted that their intimacy was void of "true intimacy," unlike how it had been in the beginning. She added that she stopped being cared for "emotionally, romantically, physically [or] financially."
As reported by The Blast, sex eventually became more of an "obligation" before the marriage came to an end.
Today, both Christine and Kody have moved on with their lives. Kody has even stated that he has nothing against Christine and her new partner and wouldn't mind being friends with them.
