Bet of the Day – Bolton to win & over 1.5 goals @ 1/1

Bolton picked up an overdue success when beating Rotherham 1-0 in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night and the League One victories can start to flow for the Trotters. 

Steven Schumacher’s men have drawn all of their last four third-tier games, but the Whites have been hugely outperforming those results. 

Bolton have collected seven points from six League One matches this term, but their expected points total is up at 12.2, while they have taken more shots than their opponents in each of their eight all-competion matches. 

The Trotters are putting up the best expected goals numbers in the third tier and it’s unlikely to be long until they cut loose. 

A much-changed Wimbledon side conceded five at home to Stevenage in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night, and prior to that hammering, the Dons’ strongest side was beaten 3-2 at Bradford. 

It’s three straight defeats for Johnnie Jackson’s men and the Londoners could be crushed on their trip to the Toughsheet Community Stadium. 

Special of the Day – Ross County, Barnet and MK Dons treble @ 21/4

Ross County’s Scottish Championship season has yet to kick into gear, but the Staggies have a talented squad and they may be able to kick on now they have parted ways with manager Don Cowie. County should be too strong for Arbroath in Dingwall. 

Barnet have turned a corner after winning two in an unbeaten three-game streak in the league since losing their first three fixtures and they can take care of Shrewsbury, who have collected only two points from a possible 18.

Swindon can secure another three points when they travel to Barrow, who have lost their last three games without scoring. Ian Holloway’s men have won their last two in the league which includes a 3-0 win at Crewe most recently, while they enjoyed a confidence-boosting 3-2 win over Reading in the EFL Trophy in midweek.

Backing County, Barnet and Swindon in a treble pays out at 21/4 if successful.

Longshot of the Day – Eberechi Eze to score first in England v Andorra @ 6/1

With Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer missing from England’s squad to face Andorra, there could be a space in the line-up for Eberechi Eze.

Arsenal’s big-money signing scored eight Premier League goals for Crystal Palace last term, as well as four in the FA Cup and the 27-year-old notched for England in March’s World Cup qualifier with Latvia. 

England are 1/125 to beat Andorra at Villa Park on Saturday, which should mean plenty of goalscoring opportunities for the Three Lions and, at 6/1, Eze looks a nice option to get the first strike of the game.
