As they gear up for their blockbuster clash for Alvarez’s undisputed super-middleweight titles live on Netflix, rumours have been circulating that the American has been hiding a shoulder injury.

The speculation came as a photo surfaced where some people thought the 37-year-old’s shoulder appeared to be swollen.

During Tuesday’s Grand Arrivals, Crawford took the opportunity to set the record straight just days before he returns to the ring.

He said: “Where do I [have] a shoulder injury? People are coming up with their own antics.

“They coming up with all kinds of stuff. “Of course, the power is definitely going to come with it.

“So, that’s not a worry that I ever had. Shutting everybody up.”

Crawford is expected to bring more power into the ring this weekend as he appears in the opposite corner to Canelo.

Saudi boxing promoter, Turki Alalshikh, is certainly hoping that Canelo and Crawford deliver what he has dubbed the ‘fight of the century’.

Alalshikh has offered a huge financial boost for a knockout, to encourage more action, which both men will certainly be hoping to deliver in Sin City.

Speaking on going in for a knockout, Crawford explained: “I don’t know about stopping him, but I’m strong. I’ve never been in the ring with Canelo, so I can’t speak on him. But that’s why we fight the fight so we can figure it out.”

Why is Canelo vs Alvarez vs Terence Crawford boxing’s biggest fight?

Both men are putting their illustrious legacies on the line, as Canelo defends his WBO, WBA, IBF and WBC super-middleweight titles.

Despite the opening bell marking Crawford’s loss of his WBA super welterweight title, he will be vying to defeat Canelo and maintain his place above his rival in the pound-for-pound rankings.

But he will become a world champion in a fifth weight class should he take victory.

This would see him equal the achievement met by fellow American great Floyd Mayweather during his illustrious 50-0 perfect career.

Meanwhile, the Mexican will be looking to retain his belts, while swatting away yet another challenge from elite level opposition.

Victory would see Alvarez brush aside arguably his toughest challenge yet 168lbs and stamp his legacy further on Mexican Independence Day.

Canelo and Crawford have stellar records that they will be putting on the line again this weekend

And it could also see him set up a bumper UK debut in 2026 with Hamzah Sheeraz and Chris Eubank Jr believed to be next in line.

Aside from that, the winner will take home the prestigious Ring Magazine belt worth a staggering 188k.
