Todd Chrisley Doubles Down On His Deep 'Love' For President Donald Trump Despite Criticism From Fans

Todd Chrisley is firing back at some of his biggest haters who have criticized him and his family over their support of President Donald J. Trump. After being pardoned by the controversial political figure in the summer of 2025, Todd and his family sparked considerable conversation, with some online users even slamming the reality TV family on various social media platforms. However, during a recent interview with his wife, Julie, and his daughter, Savannah, Todd got real about his affiliation with Trump and provided background information on his family's political stances.
Todd Chrisley Says People Upset Over His Support Of Trump 'Never Knew' Him At All

Speaking with Nightline, Todd fired back at those condemning him and his family over their association with Trump, saying, "I don't think that viewer really ever knew us," he said. "Our family has always been very socially liberal and fiscally conservative."
"I don't agree with everything that any president does, or congressman, or senator, reality star, whatever," he added. However, Todd explained that he feels a sense of gratitude to the Commander-in-Chief, especially because he reunited the 57-year-old with his family.
"I can sit here, because I have been pardoned, and say that I love President Donald J. Trump because he gave me my family back," Todd said.
Donald Trump Pardoned Todd And Julie, Releasing Them From Prison

In May 2025, the Chrisleys were back in the headlines after news broke that Trump issued presidential pardons to Todd and Julie, vacating their combined 19-year prison sentence after being convicted of several counts of fraud.
In a clip that went viral on social media, Trump spoke to Todd and Julie's daughter, Savannah, about how "terrible" their incarceration was.
"But it's a great thing because your parents are going to be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow. Is that okay?" Trump continued before offering the Chrisleys his well wishes.
Julie echoed Todd's earlier sentiments about Trump's pardon, explaining how there was no way they could've turned that opportunity down. "I know not one person that, if President Trump offered them a pardon, would say no," she said.
Other Stars Faced Backlash Over Alleged Support Of Donald Trump

The negative reactions weren't limited to just the Chrisleys. After Todd and Julie were released from prison, former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss interviewed the couple on her podcast, "Speak On It," prompting a handful of comments questioning whether the TV personality was part of the "MAGA" community.
A month prior, Burruss was also blasted after publicly supporting Todd and Julie's release online. She clapped back on X, however, clarifying that she'd been friends with Todd long before his legal woes. "I'm happy that him [and] Julie are out of jail. What y'all so pressed for? Me being happy for them has nothing to do with my political beliefs," she added.
Some Of The Chrisley Family Members Cried After Trump Won The 2024 Election

The Chrisley family's allegiance to Trump isn't surprising, as Savannah has been vocal about her support of the politician ever since her parents were locked behind bars. In addition to speaking on behalf of the Republican Party at the Republican National Convention in 2024, Savannah also opened up about being overcome with emotions the night Trump won the general election that same year.
According to a previous report from The Blast, Savannah watched the election results play out live on television with her younger brother, Grayson. After learning Trump won, the reality star said she and her brother "both started sobbing."
"And he just grabbed me and hugged me because we knew that was our only way out," she added.
Todd said that the reaction was similar inside his prison camp in Pensacola, Florida. "When they finally announced that he was the winner, everyone there started screaming and yelling because they knew, they felt in their spirit that if President Trump wins this election, there's hope for all of us," he said.
Chase Chrisley Praises Trump After Parents Were Pardoned

Another report from The Blast also covered Chase Chrisley's praise for Trump after pardoning his parents.
On Instagram, the 29-year-old explained how "grateful to God and extremely grateful to President Trump and his entire administration," he was. "I'm beyond thankful to finally have my parents back home and my family together again!"
Chase finished, "God is so good! Our rocks are back!! Thank you to Mr. President @realdonaldtrump @potus for making a remarkable decision and bringing our family back together! We love, support, and thank you, Mr. President! God bless you and your entire family! Continue to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!"
